قال الله تعالى

 {  إِنَّ اللَّــهَ لا يُغَيِّــرُ مَـا بِقَــوْمٍ حَتَّــى يُـغَيِّـــرُوا مَــا بِــأَنْــفُسِــــهِـمْ  }

سورة  الرعد  .  الآيـة   :   11

ahlaa

Fasting, a way of earning blessings and mercy of ALLAH has lots of benefits. Rewards of fasting are beyond just fulfilling a religious obligation. In following, we have collected some hadith which will illuminate rewards of Fasting.

  • “Except for fasting which is only for My sake, and I will reward him for it.

(Al-Bukhaari, al-Fath, no. 1904; Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/407).

  • There are in the month of Ramadan in every day and night those to whom Allah grants freedom from the Fire, and there is for every Muslim a supplication which he can make and will be granted.”

[Al-Bazzaar, Ahmad, Saheeh]

  • Fasting will intercede for a person on the Day of Judgment, and will say, “O Lord, I prevented him from his food and physical desires during the day, so let me intercede for him.”

(Reported by Ahmad, 2/174. Al-Haythami classed its isnaad as hasan in al-Majma’, 3/181. See also Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/411).

  • The smell that comes from the mouth of a fasting person is better with Allah than the scent of musk.

(Muslim, 2/807).

  • “Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and with the hope of reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.

(Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath, no. 37).

  • “The fasting person there are two times of joy; a time when he breaks his fast and a time of joy when he meets his Lord.”

[Al-Bukhaaree]

  • There is a special gate in Paradise for the fasting person:

Prophet ﷺsaid: “There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyaan, and those who observe fasting will be invited to it. Whoever is one of those who observe fasting will enter it and whoever enters through it will never again be thirsty.”

[At-Tirmithi: Hasan Saheeh Ghareeb]

  • “There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyaan, and those who observe fasting will enter from it on the Day of Judgment and none except them will enter from it. It will be said, ‘Where are those who used to observe fasting?’ They will get up, and none except them will enter from it. After their entry, this gate will be closed and nobody will enter from it (after that).”

[Al-Bukhaari]
