قال الله تعالى

 {  إِنَّ اللَّــهَ لا يُغَيِّــرُ مَـا بِقَــوْمٍ حَتَّــى يُـغَيِّـــرُوا مَــا بِــأَنْــفُسِــــهِـمْ  }

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, promised nuclear weapons to any nation that joined Russia and Belarus. The comment came just days after the Belarusian leader confirmed the transfer of Russian nuclear weapons to his country. Putin has periodically hinted at a nuclear escalation since the February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, dramatically increasing tensions with the U.S. and the West.   “It’s very simple. You have to join the union between Belarus and Russia, and that’s it: There will be nuclear weapons for everyone,” Lukashenko said in a comment aired Sunday night on Russian state TV. “I think it’s…
It should be obvious that U.S. policy in the Middle East is now losing influence. Steven Simon’s new book “Grand Delusion – The Rise and Fall of American Ambitions in the Middle East” purports to cover the era from Jimmy Carter (mostly as it leads into Ronald Reagan’s presidency) to the current Biden administration.   In his writing for the most part he highlights the bad decisions and illogical thinking of most of those presidents concerning the Middle East.  Unfortunately he starts off with a major flaw:  after a brief presentation on the policymakers acting in the best interests of the U.S. based…
On a small vegetable farm in Lal-lo town in the northern Philippine province of Cagayan, Eduardo Pamittan starts his day before dawn. Since April, the middle-aged farmer has been trying to finish all his work between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m., before the late morning sun and humidity become “unbearable.”  “I have to wake up so early each day,” he says. “It is really unsafe to work under the unrelenting heat.”  And unrelenting it is, as record-breaking heat There are downsides. Rinaliza Alvarez, mother of a fourth grader who’s attended morning classes this past month, worried that “my daughter would…
In South Africa, there are an average of two assassinations a week. The price of human life is anything between R2 600 and R156 000 in the country, depending on who the victim is and how complex the hit is supposed to be (actually, some reports indicate that R500 will get you a gun-for-hire.) The hitmen-for-hire industry has been normalised to the extent that shopping around for a contract killer can be quantified and defined by supply-and-demand economic principles. You want your wife or husband killed? All you need is about R5 000; you need your comrade killed because they…
Ukraine sent untrained recruits into the battle of Bakhmut to save its professional soldiers for an expected counteroffensive, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday. The Journal spoke with men who were part of a small group that was sent into Bakhmut, which became known as the meat grinder, just a few days after being mobilized. Out of 16 men in the group of draftees, 11 were either killed or captured. The Journal described them as “mostly poor men from villages in the northeastern Kharkiv region, many of them unemployed, doing odd jobs as handymen or shift work at factories in the regional capital.” Some of the…
A subpoenaed FBI informant file links President Joe Biden to a bribery scheme worth five million dollars, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) publicly disclosed. Comer revealed the size of the alleged bribe Wednesday in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, who continues to stonewall Comer’s subpoena to obtain the unclassified document from the bureau. In the letter threatening action, Comer pledged to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress if Wray does not provide the file. The two men scheduled a meeting next week to discuss the dispute. In addition to the sum of the alleged bribe, Comer’s letter revealed…
As Israel’s hardline coalition government is ramming through legislation that would radically alter the country’s political character and system of government, alarm bells are finally ringing in Washington. Even President Joe Biden has finally picked up the phone and expressed his concern to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about his anti-democratic agenda. The growing American apprehension, however, has yet to be translated into meaningful policy action. So far, Washington has displayed its concern mostly with words. Senior Biden administration officials, including now the president himself, have emphasized the importance of safeguarding democracy for the future of U.S.-Israeli relations; Jewish members of Congress, both…

Can DeSantis Make a Second First Impression?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is reportedly set to announce his candidacy for president next week. He’s currently trailing Donald Trump by 36.1 percent in RealClearPolitics polling averages, and his setbacks and challenges have been widely discussed. But beyond questions about his heavy-handed policy or supposedly chilly demeanor, he faces a more peculiar problem: The man hasn’t even announced yet and Americans may already be a little sick of him. He’s heading into his campaign announcement overexposed. A candidate can only enter a race once, so he should do it on his own terms. But whatever the date of DeSantis’s official announcement, that…
JPMorgan Chase in a court filing Tuesday called the U.S. Virgin Islands “complicit in the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein,” saying the sex predator gave high-ranking officials there money, advice and favors in exchange for looking the other way when he trafficked young women to be abused on his island getaway. “For two decades, and for long after JPMC exited Epstein as a client, the entity that most directly failed to protect public safety and most actively facilitated and benefited from Epstein’s continued criminal activity was the plaintiff in this case — the USVI government itself,” the bank said in the Manhattan federal court filing. “Rather…
Friend, the Marxist Left is on a mission to tear down the United States Supreme Court.  Senate Democrats are calling to expand and pack the Court with radical justices.  Merrick Garland refuses to lock up the left-wing mobs harassing Justices and their families at their homes… even after one of those lunatics tried to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh.  And their liberal media allies are running one hit piece after another attacking Justice Clarence Thomas. This is all about one thing: power. The Supreme Court is the one institution liberals don’t control.
