This morning, I devoted some time to reading texts written by Palestinian citizens, and I read fear. There is no truce in occupied Palestine; fear of the next hour of the day, fear of tomorrow, and the ghosts of those who have departed haunting the memory. The Palestinian lives knowing only one thing: that the Zionist machine of death is stalking him at every moment. Eid is at the doorstep, while the Palestinian lives under a death sentence, awaiting the noose that may pull him from the nightmare of life into the world of death.<\/p>\n

It is difficult for the dear reader to understand what the Palestinian is enduring there, in that land of gathering and torment. It is difficult to imagine an Eid surrounded by corpses and the smell of death, deprived of the most basic necessities of life. None of us can truly imagine \u2014 even begin to imagine \u2014 a situation where every neighborhood is bombed. They there will not live the joy of Eid, and I do not know whether Eid still has any taste or meaning left.<\/p>\n

There in Palestine, life is a fragment of hell, and the Zionists work day and night to empty the land of its native inhabitants: either by destroying what remains of standing ruins, through brutal killing, forced displacement, imprisonment, or by cutting off electricity and water. And is there anything left in Gaza that still reminds us of life? Nothing.<\/p>\n

What is happening there stands as testimony to our cowardice, our defeat, and our attachment to life. The feeling of betrayal by those close to you is devastating. No matter how much I write or describe, I will never be able to convey the tragedy as it truly exists on the ground, and I stop here\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
