In 1895, Theodor Herzl, the founder of the Zionist movement,\u00a0asserted<\/a>:\u00a0\u201c<\/b>We shall try to spirit the penniless population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it any employment in our own country \u2026 expropriation and the removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.\u201d<\/p>\n

On August 22, 2025, the U.N.\u2019s Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) issued a\u00a0report<\/a>\u00a0on Israel\u2019s ongoing famine campaign against the Palestinian people in Gaza, noting, \u201cFamine is not about food; it is the\u00a0deliberate collapse\u00a0of the systems needed for human survival.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, issued a warning that\u00a0said,<\/a>\u00a0in part:<\/p>\n

It is a famine. The Gaza Famine.<\/p>\n

It is a famine that we could have prevented, if we had been allowed. Yet food stacks up at borders because of systematic obstruction by Israel.<\/p>\n

It is a famine within a few hundred metres of food, in a fertile land.<\/p>\n

It is a famine that hits the most vulnerable first. Each with a name, each with a story. That strips people of dignity before it strips them of life. That forces a parent to choose which child to feed. That forces people to risk their lives to seek food.<\/p>\n

It is a famine that we repeatedly warned of. But that the international media has not been allowed in to cover. To bear witness.<\/p>\n

It is a famine in 2025. A 21st-century famine watched over by drones and the most advanced military technology in history.<\/p>\n

It is a famine openly promoted by some Israeli leaders as a weapon of war.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu insists that says no one in Gaza is starving: \u201cThere is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza. We enable humanitarian aid throughout the duration of the war to enter Gaza \u2013 otherwise, there would be no Gazans.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, in July, Pres. Donald Trump\u00a0disagreed<\/a>\u00a0with Netanyahu\u2019s claim of no starvation in Gaza, noting the images emerging of emaciated people: \u201cThose children look very hungry.<\/p>\n

Two of Israel\u2019s leading human rights group, B\u2019Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights,\u00a0say<\/a>\u00a0Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.<\/p>\n

As\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0by The New York Times, \u201cAmichay Eliyahu, a far-right lawmaker who leads Israel\u2019s Heritage Ministry, said in a radio interview that \u2018there is no nation that feeds its enemies,\u201d adding that \u201cthe British didn\u2019t feed the Nazis, nor did the Americans feed the Japanese, nor do the Russians feed the Ukrainians now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s famine campaign is part of a gruesome strategy of exterminate and\/or removal promoted by ultra-rightwing Zionists and implemented by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; it is supported by Pres. Donald Trump who has called for Israel to take over Gaza and move the Palestinians out to neighboring countries, including Jordan and Egypt.<\/p>\n

Leading Israeli politicians have promoted the\u00a0extermination campaign<\/a>. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for the mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza; he argued, \u201cPresident Trump has made it clear: Israel can set a firm deadline \u2013 either all hostages return by Saturday, or we open the gates of hell,\u201d Smotrich said. He urged Israel to \u201cliterally unleash hell\u201d on Gaza.\u00a0\u00a0In addition, Communication Minister Shlomo Karhi\u00a0called<\/a>\u00a0for of the Palestinian displacement and cutting electricity and water supplies; and\u00a0Transportation Minister Miri Regev said that Israel should rebuild settlements in Gaza that it evacuated in 2005.<\/p>\n

Most troubling,\u00a0according to The Guardian<\/i>, \u201cclassified Israeli military intelligence database indicate five out of six Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza have been civilians \u2026\u201d. It adds, this is \u201can extreme rate of slaughter rarely matched in recent decades of warfare.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Guardian<\/i>\u00a0also\u00a0notes<\/a>\u00a0that Israeli-Palestinian publication\u00a0+972 Magazine<\/a>\u00a0and the Hebrew-language outlet\u00a0Local Call<\/a>\u00a0has found that 53,000 Palestinians had been killed by Israeli attacks.\u00a0 Going further, it states: \u201cFighters named in the Israeli military intelligence database accounted for just 17% of the total, which indicates that 83% of the dead were civilians.\u201d<\/p>\n

In November 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Often forgotten when considering the Gaza extermination campaign is Israel\u2019s role in fostering Hamas. Col. David Hacham, an expert in Arab Affairs in the Israeli military, dates Israel\u2019s role in the fostering of Hamas to 1979 when Israel officials approved the establishment of The Islamic Center (aka Mujama al-Islamiya) in Gaza; it was a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. As Hacham\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0The Jerusalem Post\u00a0<\/i>in 2017, \u201cIsrael did not establish Hamas, but what was done in 1979 eventually led to what we know today as the terror organizations.\u201d\u00a0 He added, \u201cThat was the original sin.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 1981, Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, who served as an Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s,\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0The New York Times<\/i>\u00a0that the Israeli government had provided him money to finance the Palestinian Islamist movement as a \u201ccounterweight\u201d to the PLO.<\/p>\n

In 2009, Avner Cohen, a retired Israeli official,\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0The Wall Street<\/i>\u00a0Journa<\/i>l, \u201cHamas, to my great regret, is Israel\u2019s creation.\u201d He confessed, further explaining that \u201cIsrael cooperated with a crippled, half-blind cleric named Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, even as he was laying the foundations for what would become Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even more succinctly, former Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX)\u00a0declared<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 you look back at the history, Hamas was encouraged and really started by Israel, because they wanted Hamas to counteract Yasser Arafat \u2026 So then, we as Americans, we say, \u2018We have such a good system. We\u2019re gonna impose this on the world. \u2026\u00a0 So we encouraged the Palestinians to have a free election; they do, and they elect Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2019, Prime Minister Netanyahu\u00a0told<\/a>\u00a0a meeting of his Likud party: \u201cThose who want to thwart the possibility of a Palestinian state should support the strengthening of Hamas and the transfer of money to Hamas. This is part of our strategy.\u201d\u00a0 The\u00a0Times<\/i>\u00a0reports<\/a>\u00a0that Netanyahu long supported providing financial support to Hamas as a means to keep it \u201cquiet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The website,\u00a0The Holocaust Explained<\/i>,\u00a0notes<\/a>: \u201cThe Nazi extermination camps aimed to murder and annihilate all races deemed \u2018degenerate\u2019: primarily Jews but also\u00a0Roma.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sadly, one can only wonder: Have ultra-rightwing Zionist become 21st<\/sup>\u00a0century Nazis?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
