قال الله تعالى

 {  إِنَّ اللَّــهَ لا يُغَيِّــرُ مَـا بِقَــوْمٍ حَتَّــى يُـغَيِّـــرُوا مَــا بِــأَنْــفُسِــــهِـمْ  }

سورة  الرعد  .  الآيـة   :   11

ahlaa

Nigeria‘ll emerge stronger from current challenges- Abdusalami

كتبه
Former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, says Nigeria will surmount its current challenges and emerge stronger in the comity of nations. He stated this at the public presentation of the book “The Making of Modern Nigeria: From pre-colonial Era till Date”, published by the Sun Publishing Limited in Abuja on Thursday. Mr Abdusalami, a retired general, who was the chairman of the occasion, said that although the country had been through a lot, the future was bright. “A few days from today, our country will be celebrating its 63rd independence anniversary. It has been 63 years of continuous efforts at…

BRICS: A Window to the Light? Or the Latest Make-Believe Deception?

كتبه
During the 15th BRICS Summit, 22-24 August 2023, in Johannesburg, South Africa, chaired by South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, six new countries were admitted to the bloc. The BRICS are now called the BRICS-11 and include the five original nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. The new members invited to join the bloc as of 1 January 2024 are Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The summit took place with big fanfare and expectations. Some 40 countries were invited, all wanted to become members of the BRICS, but just six new ones made it. Another group…

Tasmanian tiger RNA is first to be recovered from an extinct animal

كتبه
For the first time, researchers have sequenced RNA from an extinct animal species — the Tasmanian tiger (Thylacinus cynocephalus).   Using muscle and skin samples from a 132-year-old museum specimen, scientists isolated millions of RNA sequences. This genetic material provides information about the animal’s genes and proteins that are made in its cells and tissues. The findings, published in Genome Research on 19 September1, offer hope that RNA locked up in the world’s museum collections could provide new insights into long-dead species.   Being able to look at RNA in particular “opens up a whole new potential source of information”, says Oliver…
Canada is investigating allegations that India was involved in the assassination of a Sikh activist, a Canadian citizen, on Canadian soil.  The victim, Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was gunned down outside a Sikh cultural center in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18.  Nijjar was a strong supporter of an independent Sikh homeland known as Khalistan. The movement is banned in India as officials see it as a national security threat. But the movement still has some support in countries like Canada and the United Kingdom, where sizable Sikh communities live.  Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canadian intelligence agencies are investigating allegations that the…
As Middle East adviser to President Obama, I saw first-hand why it’s much easier to get rid of a bad regime than to put a good one in place. his article has been adapted from Philip H. Gordon’s new book, Losing the Long Game: The False Promise of Regime Change in the Middle East. You could never accuse President Nicolas Sarkozy of France of lacking a flair for the dramatic, but informing U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that French fighter jets were already in the air and about to launch airstrikes in Libya was extraordinary even by his standards. In…

Humanitarian Imperialism created the Libyan Nightmare

كتبه
Business is Booming - by Mr. Fish “We came, we saw, he died,” Hillary Clinton famously quipped when Muammar Gaddafi, after seven months of U.S. and NATO bombing, was overthrown in 2011 and killed by a mob who sodomized him with a bayonet. But Gaddafi would not be the only one to die.  Libya, once the most prosperous and one of the most stable countries in Africa, a country with free healthcare and education, the right for all citizens to a home, subsidized electricity, water and gasoline, along with the lowest infant mortality rate and highest life expectancy on the continent,…
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke to the annual meeting of the Arms Control Association on June 2, and as organization chairman, it was my honor to introduce him. Sullivan said just what needed to be said about the continuing risk of nuclear conflict: that the Biden administration would continue the long U.S. tradition of leadership in finding ways to reduce that danger. In particular, he said the United States is ready – “without preconditions” — to discuss with the Russian Federation how the two countries together could 1) manage nuclear risks, and 2) develop a new nuclear arms control framework before…
Protesters in New York City loudly demonstrated at a press conference in which New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared to address the migrant surge to the Big Apple, with many repetitively demanding the repatriation of the new arrivals. New York City, a sanctuary city, has struggled to contend with the arrival of tens of thousands of illegal migrants, some of whom Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbot has bussed there to highlight the Biden administration's lax approach to border enforcement. More than 110,000 migrants have arrived in the city over the past year. Of those, Texas has only directly sent…

Evolution of terrorism: 22 years after 9/11

كتبه
In the 22 years since the devastating attacks of 9/11, terrorism has evolved. The ever-changing tactics and ideologies of extremist groups underscore the need for continued adaptation and vigilance in safeguarding our societies from the persistent threat of terrorism. Even though there hasn’t been a significant terrorist attack in the West in the recent past, the threat still exists. Terrorist groups and individuals are actively waiting to seize on an opportunity, and proactive measures and vigilance are still needed in the ever-evolving terrorist landscape. The bad guys Terrorism remains a global concern, but the nature and extent of the threat…

A clash of civilizations or a clash of beliefs? Part 13

كتبه
Extortion is a game of rotten soul"" However, arrogance is always based on the belief that we are the focus of attention and respect.. The rich man is proud of his wealth because he feels that it brings him the attention of the world... and people tend to go along with him in all his emotions resulting from the advantages of his position. As for the poor, he is ashamed of his poverty because poverty does not make him the focus of people's attention. If their eyes fall on him, they will not sympathize with his misery and the misery…

Le chevalier de la fin des temps 2

كتبه
