The so-called ceasefire exists only on paper; on the ground, suffering intensifies day after day. The bombardment continues, and targeted killings persist. I learned today that World Central Kitchen will suspend its operations in the Gaza Strip for reasons I still do not know. One can only imagine how many children and families will be deprived of its free services. As for the international guarantors, there is still no visible impact from them; death continues to claim Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Many humanitarian organizations have been prevented from carrying out any activities inside the occupied territories, and criminal settlers control the lives of more than three million Palestinians in the West Bank. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation expands day after day. At the same time, there is talk of a unified bloc confronting what is described as the “Shiite–Sunni threat,” yet to this day we have seen no effective deterrent action from countries such as Turkey, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia. These states maintain direct or indirect relations with the occupying entity.
Egypt, for example, utilizes Palestinian gas that has been appropriated, so how could it constitute a direct threat to the Zionist project? These countries have watched the genocide in Gaza without undertaking military action to protect our people there or in the West Bank. At the same time, Tel Aviv declares its intention to continue the genocide on the grounds that Hamas has not surrendered its weapons. How can this scene be understood?
Weapons are the only means of protecting the Palestinian people and deterring the occupation, especially in light of Arab inaction in providing decisive support. In short: there is no truce in Gaza.
