What happens when Elon Musk, the owner, chief technologist, and chairman, of Twitter, gets together with Jordan Peterson, a world-renowned clinical psychologist and best-selling writer?
Answer: Peterson, like Tucker Carlson and other platforms hostile to his ideas, can offer unique commentary on his platform.
YouTube blocked Peterson’s video “Trans: When Ideology Meets Reality” due to a violation of its “hate speech policy”. The renowned psychologist then sprinted to Musk’s Twitter and tweeted the entire video.
YouTube erroneously informed Peterson
YouTube does not allow content that glorifies or incites violence against another individual or group. YouTube does not allow content that promotes hatred against another person or group based on the fact they belong to a protected group.
Nonsense. Peterson’s video only violated the left’s narrative of trans-supportiveness.
Peterson responded quickly to YouTube’s accusations — via Musk’s Twitter, of course.
YouTube has officially accused me of hate speech. Let’s make this clear: That is a direct charge [of] conduct that many jurisdictions consider criminal. This is not okay, @YouTube. This is not OK.
YouTube, you are no longer needed by Dr. Peterson.
Peterson continued the thread by saying, “I’m also accused of ‘inciting violent acts’ as you all can see.” “To say that I am tired of the narcissistic, authoritarians accusing me in this way is almost nothing.”
Musk invited Peterson enthusiastically to upload the YouTube-banned video to Twitter later on Saturday.

Musk is a mercurial man at times but when he’s in a situation like this you can’t but love him.
The renowned Dr. Peterson accepted the invitation immediately.
The video received nearly a half-million views in its first hours and was shared more than 9,000 times. YouTube’s decision to ban the “trans ideologies” video was a blessing for Jordan Peterson, but also for those who were looking for information that would refute the left’s “transgender narrative”.
Conclusion:
I will not irresponsibly compare Lenin to Hitler or other authoritarian dictators.
What I’ll do is point out that authoritarian revolutionaries fear the possibility that their populations will have access to freedoms of expression and thought that run counter to their totalitarian narratives. This leads them to ban books, historical documents, and other valuable materials.
Hence in today’s America, the banning of conservative speakers on many of our university campuses, or the censorship by social media platforms of content and factual information that runs counter to the left’s various narratives — the COVID pandemic provided a perfect example of such — is not dissimilar to the control-of-information actions of history’s most repressive regimes.
Consider this: If politicians, media outlets and social media platforms, etc., spread false narratives to the American public, it is logical – not to confuse with “right” – for those who peddle lies to be afraid of the truth.
As a final thought, and in relation to the political narratives that are currently being thrown at America, I am reminded of this famous quote by American economist, writer, and social theorist Stuart Chase.
No proof is required for those who already believe. No proof is required for those who do not believe.
Both Jordan Peterson and Elon Musk deserve kudos.
